Background Information
Zavier was orphaned as a small boy. His father had ditched out on him
before he was able to really know who he was. His mother was unable to
care for him. His father had chosen the name Zavier prior to leaving his
son behind. Alexander had been the mans surname. He acquired the name
Cross from a foster parent he had up until the gentlemen's death.
He was adopted by Akatsuki and Akimitsu, an elderly couple who owed his maternal grandfather a favor. He ended up with them due to his paternal grandparents (a Taiwanese/Enlgish couple) wanting nothing to do with him due to being illegitimate. His mother's family was Korean/Japanese in origin. He considered Suki a good mother since his own had abandoned him.
His mother had run away from his grandfathers dealings to be with his father only to be abandoned herself. It is unknown as to how he ended up in foster care at the age of two. Simply that when Angel Blayde Cross passed away, it was found out by his grandfather and the couple adopted him.
His upbringing was always a sensitive subject to him since he always felt unlucky to have such a complicated family. It wasn't until the elderly couple passed away that he realized that he had in fact had decent parents.
When he was a teen he started dating his husband Christian Santana, who even taught him to swim. Regrettably Zavier never developed healthy coping mechanisms and wrapped his whole life up in Christian. He viewed Christian as the only person who had ever loved him. And he wanted nothing but Christian's happiness.
Zavier would go on to play Football for Melbourne. This put a strain on his relationship and he adopted his beloved dog, Pauper. They eventually worked it out. Unfortunately he never learned to let go and be healthy.
Despite Chris not wanting to become a parent, Zavi would eventually push him into becoming a parent to their adopted son Cy Arsonix Kaza, a boy who was also unwanted in the world. He didn't view it as force at the time but ultimately it also strained them. The relationship had started as a big brother kind of program for the boy as he taught him football, a sport that he played professionally for the United Undead.
Although adding Cy to the family was a stressor, they had many good memories with him. In fact the family seemed rather happy despite the dysfunctional relationship that Zavi and Chris had due to their own mental health and unresolved childhood issues. During times of stress he would often feel unloved by the other. This would come to the tipping point of when Chris decided to end his life. Zavi supported the others decision. Chris had suffered from mental illness for years and Zavi thought he would be in less pain
Due to his own inability to manage his childhood issues he opted to leave their son to the woman who had the boy. She had been willing to finally take him on despite her own issues. At the time he told Cy it was a trip to Japan, but unbeknownst to him Cy had assumed it wasn't so simple. Zavier opted to end his own life versus learning to live without Chris and finish raising Cy.
Zavier is survived by his adopted son Cy Arsonix Kaza.
